Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) facial therapy, also known as the ‘Vampire Facelift’ or ‘Dracula Therapy’ helps slow down ageing and sometimes even reverse it. Here at Elle Aesthetics and Lifestyle we love the Vampire facial because, says our aesthetic injector, Eleanor Murphy "Although it might seem unorthadox at the outset, what could be more natural that using your body's own plasma and growth factors to repair and heal your skin?"
PRP treatment entails harvesting platelets from the patient’s blood and injecting them into the affected skin areas. The procedure begins with the extraction of a minimal amount of blood which is then placed in a centrifuge to separate the plasma; the platelet rich plasma layer is then injected into the chosen area.
Areas that can be treated include:
Face – Around the eyes, chin, cheeks, forehead and neck
Scalp rejuvination
Can also be used to promote healing of stretch marks elsewhere on the body
Benefits:
Perfect for Acne scars and scaring
Improves aged and sun damaged skin
Improves Facial and décolleté lines and wrinkles
No side effects or allergic reactions to the treatment
Skin becomes thicker and healthier
Rejuvenates the collagen/scalp
