Trash TV got me thinking...

Updated: May 16, 2020

So, I finally got a chance to catch up on Jeremy Kyle's documentary on the world of aesthetics...and I'll be honest...it wasn't easy to watch!

There are many professional, passionate and caring qualified medical aesthetic practitioners out there doing their utmost to ensure the very best quality of care to their patients. It is so disappointing, & frankly frightening, to see that there are those who simply seem to have absolutely no duty of care towards their patients & give the entire profession a bad rep!

So it got me thinking...if I was a patient what would I really want to know about Elle Aesthetics and Lifestyle?

1. Why did I get involved in the world of aesthetics?

From the day we were told that pharmacists could carry out "Aesthetic Enhancements" in first year lectures I knew Aesthetics was something I wanted to do!

However, there was a problem! I was a fainter - however after having done several hundred flu vaccines over the last few years I finally decided to go for it.

2. Who ️is behind Elle Aesthetics & Lifestyle?

I qualified Master of Pharmacy from QUB in 2014 and have worked in community pharmacy for 10 years, first as a dispensary assistant, then a pre-registration pharmacist, next a pharmacy manager to now a Supervising Pharmacist and have gained a wealth of experience along the way.

I am registered with Pharmaceutical society of Northern Ireland & Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland meaning I am legally allowed to practice.

I served as Chair of the Communications Committee & Registrant member of PSNI (regulator for pharmacy in Northern Ireland) and I am committed to my patients and their wellbeing.

I trained in Foundation Botox & Dermal Fillers with Dr. Zack Ally of DermaMedical and in Advanced Botox & Dermal Fillers with Dr. Chris Hutton of ArrayAesthetics. I am committed to training with the best so I can bring my patient's the very best service.

I am fully insured with CosmeticInsure the leading insurance provider for MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS in aesthetic treatments.

3. How do I run my business?

I source all products from foxpharma and Church Pharmacy based in England who are well known, reputable pharmacy suppliers.

All my 'anti-wrinkle' patients MUST have a face to face consultation with both myself & my prescriber before they can be deemed suitable for treatment. All my filler patients MUST undergo a consultation with myself prior to treatment.

Consultation will take into account your medical history, current medication & treatment plan & treatment will only be carried out if appropriate. It is imperative that I as your cosmetic practitioner act morally and ethically giving respect and consideration to patients.

Aftercare...absolutely - see my separate blog on this topic!

If you have any further questions or would like a consultation please do not hesitate to get in touch. You can book online via my website or facebook or contact 07513842150.
